bronze casting

We need few very important tools to make art with bronze. You will use tools like a furnace, crucible tongs,molds and there is no doubt essential casting chisels. A furnace is a special oven that melts the bronze. The temperature inside the furnace becomes very hot, this reaches around 1100 degrees Celsius! It is to convert the solid bronze into liquid form. The crucible holds the molten bronze, so it is essential in protecting that hot metal. Special gripping tools called tongs are used to lift the crucible out of the furnace, so care must be taken when pouring liquid bronze on them;

Once the bronze is completely cool and hard, we use chisels (sharp tool) to clean up any extra metal that has blinds from spilling over during casting. This one-of-a-kind patina colors the bronze sculpture and enhances its aesthetic appeal.

Turning molten bronze into works of ar

When creating the mold, we take around the original sculpture and pour plaster or clay very carefully, covering it completely. It takes time and patience, as the mold must fully capture all of those details. After the mold hardens and matures, we remove the first sculpture carefully. Anyway, now we have a hollow shape that is prepared to be used for cast formation of the bronze sculpture.

Then, we pour the molten bronze into the mold slowly. It is a very detailed process and great steps must be taken to ensure the bronze flows throughout every part of the mold. After a time, the bronze return back to its original color and we will remove it gently from mold. This all absorbs when the mold is finally removed leaving us an elegant bronze statue. Before the piece is finally polished and embellished with any final finishing details for a more elegant look.
